🎧 Summer in My Room
I enjoy this assignment which allows us to creatively use sound to express something. I am a music lover but never tried to make audio using different kinds of sounds. I do feel the power of sounds to help us in storytelling. Even though there is no image at all, the sounds expand the space for listeners to drive their imagination beyond boundlessness. It is just like the ink painting, which consists of black and white, The black is the material, and the white is the space for recreation by audiences.
I created an audio called Summer in My Room. I recorded the sound of washing machines, opening a coke, pouring coke in a cup, wind chimes in my environment. Then, I used audacity to combine them, adjust the volume, apply fade in/out and echo sound effects. The final product matches the image representing summer in my mind.
